Joy Alexis is an artist of the new age. Unafraid of genre-bending and blurring boundaries, they believe in seamlessness between the mood of a song and its architecture, all while tirelessly working towards shaping a sound true to themselves. Honest and raw, Joy’s music surges forth with a powerful depth of emotions, something birthed out of acute emotional sensitivity and their seemingly effortless craft to translate these vulnerabilities into resonant music.
Joy’s journey began in 2013 when they picked up an acoustic guitar. Strumming soon became fingerstyle guitar and after years of hard work fired by passion, Joy found themselves on stage, performing with local artists Sam Rui, Joie Tan, and RRILEY. In 2018, Joy made the decision to switch from Architecture to music and is currently studying a degree in Electronic music at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore.
