Sydny August is a singer/songwriter who doesn’t put a limit to her creativity. Toward the end of August’s junior year of high school, she quickly emerged on the Chicago music scene performing and gained recognition from original singles like "Over" and "Let You Know”.
Lyrical Lemonade picked up August’s sound around the release of her freshman EP “6th Floor” in late October, 2017--a project fusing mellow and experimental R&B--"Ride" and "Overdose" pose as listeners' favorites.
As a recent graduate of the University of Kansas, August has made a great effort throughout 2017 to 2020 by releasing five EPs — “6th Floor,” “August Project,” “UNI,” “45,” and “NeverMore,” —while maintaining Creative Writing & Business studies. August remains prolific by releasing her independent debut album “Miss August,” during 2020’s quarantine before signing to Chicago label Only The Family. Appearing on Lil Durk’s 2021 “The Voice (Deluxe)” album, August sets the tone and stands out on “Love You,” their first collaboration together.
